Dr. Mark McKenna has never known what it is like to work for another person. He has always been an entrepreneur who created his business while he was still in medical school at Tulane University. Dr. McKenna received his medical education at Tulane University and went on to found McKenna Venture Investments. He pushed the company over the years and eventually acquired Universal Mortgage Lending, as well as Uptown Title Inc. McKenna Venture Investments now has 50 employees. It operates as a small real estate development firm that offers real estate closing, finance and design-build dr. McKenna has licenses to work in both the state of Georgia and Florida as a surgeon. He is proud of his advocacy for patients and the work he does in the community.
Dr. Mark McKenna is a native of New Orleans Louisiana and suffered through the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina. The storm took a devastating toll on the region. It displaced a lot of businesses and people who could not afford another place to go. Dr. McKenna took many losses himself. However, he decided to use this unfortunate event as an opportunity to help others. He got directly involved in the relief effort in New Orleans and participated in the rebuild of low-income housing.
Dr. Mark McKenna relocated his operation to Atlanta Georgia and continues to exercise successful business tactics. He founded ShapeMed as a medical wellness and aesthetic practice. ShapeMed had great success and was sold to Lifetime Fitness Inc. Dr. McKenna then created OVME as a new concept to elective healthcare. OVME is reshaping the industry by presenting medical aesthetics and new technology.
Dr. Mark McKenna is a firm believer in setting goals. However, he understands that this is just the first step to achieving the end result. Rushing through an activity does not mean much if there is not a solid direction behind the effort.
Dr. McKenna is a family man who enjoys spending time with his family. He wakes up early in the morning to make breakfast for his daughter while his wife is allowed to sleep in. Dr. McKenna relishes this time to be a father and also takes the opportunity to visualize his day.
