The three-day investment conference was held in Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The meeting was sponsored by the Influential Democracy Alliance Donor Club and witnessed the appearances of leaders of the leading unions, liberal groups, and friends of the Institutional Left.
Being the first major meeting of the institutional left since the shocking trump’s win over Clinton, Politico suspected that the primary agenda was to devise the best way to fight against Trump. Some of the sessions delved on preparation for 2017 and 2018 elections, while others focused on opposing the Trump’s 100-day plan, referred to by the agenda as a terrifying assault on Obama’s achievements, and the progressive vision of the group for a just and equitable nation.
